Our group run started a bit early this week with a few of us meeting at the Nags Head to watch the womanโs euro game allowing us to hydrate pre run. Ten of us gathered at the Old Spike and did a short run to meet Karthik and Koshy at Cossall Estate. Our first task was litter picking the nature reserve. You never know what treasures you may find there! After this we weeded the beds in the estate and then jogged back to Peckham. The majority of the group were keen for more football so headed straight to the pub after!

We kicked off by moving a variety of tomatoes to clear valuable space for new raised beds. This not only helped tidy up the growing area but also prepared the garden for more ambitious planting.
Over in the glass house, Asad and Kat tackled some essential groundwork โ quite literally! They expertly levelled the ground, getting it ready for cucumber pots which we prepared as a group.
After all that heavy lifting (and soil shifting), the team cooled down with a rather unusual activity: snail picking. Not ones to let natureโs snacks go to waste, they fed the collected snails to the ducks, who were absolutely delighted with the surprise treat.
To wrap up the day, the team enjoyed apple picking. The gathered fruit didnโt just go into bags โ they also became delicious snacks for the piglets, who gobbled them up with glee.

Cecilia completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Cecilia has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.
