๐ Our evening started with a cheerful meet-up before we set off together โ some of us running, others walking โ to reach the shop, getting those steps (and smiles) in along the way ๐โโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธ. It was the perfect way to warm up before an evening of treasure hunting and teamwork!
When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Dr. Christina, who gave us a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the shop and its hidden basement full of wonders. Bag after bag, shoe after shoe, and shelf after shelf of books ๐คฏ โ it felt like discovering a secret world beneath the high street! Dr. Christinaโs passion for the project was contagious, and we were all excited to dive straight in.
Chau took charge of the shoe department ๐ , turning chaos into order with some creative flair, while Caroline and I rolled up our sleeves to sort and hang clothing ready for the shop floor ๐. Caroline even discovered a glamorous toy chimpanzee friend sporting bright lipstick ๐๐ต โ definitely the style icon of the night! Dr. Christina showed us how to assess donations and prepare items for recycling, giving us a peek into the sustainability side of charity retail โป๏ธ.
After our hard work, we ran and walked back together under the evening sky โ a lovely way to round off a feel-good session full of laughter, teamwork, and a sense of purpose ๐. The Bassuah Legacy shop truly is a labour of love, and weโre proud to have played a small part in keeping its legacy shining bright. Thereโs still plenty more to do, and we canโt wait to return! ๐ชโจ

Our small but mighty team of GoodGymers tackled the Norland Open Space once again, using twisting techniques to pull out weeds and making great progress on another section. The area is looking much tidier thanks to our efforts! ๐
As we gardened, we had some great chats - from foraging for mushrooms and nettles to make homemade ketchup, to the possibilities and pitfalls of AI. The soil looked particularly healthy, with plenty of worms wriggling about - a great sign! ๐
We managed to get back from our run just before the daylight disappeared, and it's a good thing - next time we'll definitely be heading indoors!

Last minute drama! ๐ฑ Our original task got cancelled, but luckily, we had the opportunity to lend a hand at the amazing Tiny Forest instead! ๐ Chau and I geared up for a quick run ๐ to get there and got straight to work.
Our mission? To tackle those pesky weeds! ๐ฟ We pulled out a bunch, including one mysterious plant that had us scratching our heads ๐ค. A quick reverse image search later, and we discovered it was a sneaky mallow plant! ๐ณ Who knew they could be so stubborn? ๐ช Those roots were deep, and we were determined to get them out. We ended up on our bums a few times ๐, but at least we gave it our all! ๐ฅ
The soil, on the other hand, was looking fabulous ๐ธ! We spotted plenty of worms wiggling around, which is always a good sign ๐ฟ. However, there was one mallow that decided to put up a fight ๐ค. Even after some serious stone bashing ๐ช, we deemed it a 2-session weed ๐คฏ. Don't worry, we'll be back next week to finish the job! ๐ฅ
We managed to dash back in time before the sun dipped too low โฐ. The run back was just what we needed to cool down ๐. The real takeaway from our session? We're both inspired to start growing our own herbs ๐! Mint cocktails, anyone? ๐น
