Bristol Report written by Bristol runner
It really was a (was a was a was a) knife evening. We set off sharply. The blade runners and knife walkers arrived… We picked through every blade… of grass. We carved through the park like a hot knife through butter. We… I give up with the knife puns now. We didn’t get all the litter but I’ll get to the point and cut to the chase…
Thanks for helping write the report everyone, this will only make sense to us. For some added information we went to Spith Street park and Dame Emily park and did some litter picking 👀
What a first session for Michael.
Shanks for the memories.
Until next time…

To loaf or not to loaf? A dry morning greeted us as we met at Alpha bottle shop to meet the BS3 community led my Ian. Equipped with our picks, gloves, high vis vests and bags we cleared lotyer around an area near the green verges around the new student complexes. Then we loafed at the idea of coffee as the rain set in. A great morning and cleaner streets for all 👍🌟

The farm was radiant in the morning sun and the task today was to continue weeding the edge near the stone pit. A satisfying task as looking back the weedy green verge was transformed into a clean border. I do love clean border. Weeds picked up and into the compost and off to put on Factor 50. Proper job🔥👍

A very warm evening greeted Bristol GoodGym with Matt making his first appearance - hopefully the first of many!
Runners and walkers set off for Brunswick Cemetery after the usual health and safety chat with the plan to take out as many buttercup seed heads before they could scatter to make more weeds next year. The hot weather has meant they're "ripening" really fast this year.
A breakdown in communication meant the runners had started on pathfinding the lovely spiral that keeps disappearing with some swapping to the buttercup blitz.where we filled black bags and were still only halfway through the park!
It was soon time to head back to Workout for a well-earned drink or two to chat a bit more about life, the universe and everything. More to follow next week!
