We had 8 GoodGymers braving the cold for our group run to help Ian at Old Alleynian Sports Club.
When we got to the club, Ian split us into two groups. One group took loppers and saws to clear ivy from a tree near the small pedestrian entrance. The other group started clearing leaves at the entrance before being re-joined by the group clearing the ivy as we continued up the drive. A couple of people peeled off as we neared 8pm and the temperature dropped. Those left were rewarded with a bag of chocolate bars to share by Ian before we set off on our way back to Peckham.

On a cold winters night 8 GoodGymers met at Old Spike. After a quick warm up we headed on a 2.5k run through East Dulwich to the Tiny Forest in Peckham Park. Our task for the evening was weeding around the planted sapling trees so they are able to grow and not get out competed by plants and brambles. This wasn’t the easiest in the dark but we made do with head torches and lights. We are looking forward to revisiting in the Summer to see the trees flourishing!

Last night 12 of us met at Old Spike @ 6:45pm for the Welcome Speech. After a warm up outside in the cold we split into two groups. Paulin led Sam, Daryl and Emma to Dulwich Village to flyer for GROAD. I led the rest of the group on a short run to Salvation Army Nunhead with Maria back marking. While there we cleaned the kids toys for their playgroup. Maria from Salvation Army Nunhead was very grateful for our help as it allows her to spend more time with the families who need her support. After a sucessful session we all met back at the Old Spike for our cool down.
