Hannah Davy earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Hannah completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Hannah was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Bath Report written by Pascale Maroney
Our new 'grassy slope next to the Leisure Centre' meet up location comes complete with a beautiful view of the river and the Parade Gardens but is rather undulating underfoot which is...pretty perfect for us runners as our warm-up of dynamic stretches came with the added fun of challenging our balance - so a little proprioception development bonus!
After a round of introductions, welcoming back Hannah, and including Ted (our very friendly canine mascot for the evening) we set off, the longish way round, to Henrietta Park.
We're all at different points in our running training so it was a runner's choice on how they got round the running track, some opted for fartlek (speed-play) intervals whilst others paced themselves consistently for a tempo run and as the guardian of the bags and official photographer I had fun mixing it up with some short sharp bursts, slow backwards running and a few grassy slope reps!
And then the rain came....but it never stopped play so we re-grouped for a few snappy interval runs and sets of squats and lunges to help us develop our functional strength (and to catch our breath of course!)
Then it was back past the Holburne and down along the weir for a mini cool down and stretch out before heading off on our separate ways.
WELL DONE on a GREAT EFFORT all round everyone.
Good luck to those who are racing the Two Tunnels on Sunday.

'Twas a dark autumnal night for this weeks group run and with Halloween behind us and bonfire night just ahead there was an eerie feeling in the air, but fear not for our trusty 9 runners there was a job to finish at Manvers Baptist church with a 3k run to eat up first.
A vey warm welcome tonight to Hannah Joining us for her first Goodgym experience and with plenty of old hands to explain the different ways to be involved and make her feel welcome it was sure to be a night to remember.
Time to get moving after our warm up and headcount and catch up on any news, congratulations to our newly qualified level 3 personal trainer Joe, I'm sure he can put his skills to the test going forward on the group runs.
We made our way weaving around the city streets with some hill sprints from Jon and Joe on route before arriving at our destination.
Pete our host as ever was ready and waiting armed with brushes and green paint to finish glossing the Widcombe room.
Emily and Ed tackled the picture rail, some might say a couple of drips but the less said about that the better. The two Johns on the green doors whilst the rest worked their magic on the skirting, windowsill and that iconic radiator, 40 minutes in total and after a bit of tuition and white spirit magic from Pete on the floor.
THE ROOM WAS FINISHED
just a small joke about having to re-emulsion the walls... Ha!!
They say time flies when your having fun and that was certainly the case this evening, just time to get that all important group photo before heading back to the leisure centre for a stretch out.
A reminder to bring your ID along to the next group run if you wish to be paired up with your very own isolated older person or want to take part in missions. Emily will be happy to go through this with you.
Thank you Pascale for back marking tonight and for tonight's pun. Shakin Stevens inspired for those of you who are too young.
Look forward to seeing you all at next weeks run for The British Heart foundation https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/getting-to-the-heart-of-the-task

Hannah Davy has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Hannah is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

Hannah Davy completed their first weekend mission.
Hannah has forgone the usual weekend routine. Instead of lie-ins, roasts and strolls around the park Hannah has dropped everything to run a GoodGym mission for someone who needed help. Respect

GoodGym Haringey member Gus runs a community organisation called Noel Park Big Local, which works with residents to improve the local area. So when he put on a community celebration in Russell Park, of course he called on GoodGym for help.
Three GoodGymmers turned up for the mission: Sarah (who had just arrived from Ally Pally Parkrun nearby), Bryon and Senay. We were expecting to put up gazebos, set up tables and do a quick litter pick of Russell Park, where the event was being held. However, some leaflets that were supposed to be delivered to local residents weren't, and Gus was worried that no one would know the event was happening.
GoodGym to the rescue! Enter Sarah (who had just arrived from Ally Pally Parkrun nearby), Bryon and Senay. Over the next hour, they darted about the surrounding streets, spreading the word about the event and distributing 1,000 leaflets. When Sarah left them to dash off to her next appointment, they were blowing up balloons and stringing them up at all of the park entrances so that everyone would know where the party was.
Gus says the day went well, so it must have worked!
