Jen walked to our meeting point from The Binoy to make inroads into her 10,000 daily steps. Didem and Helen soon arrived so we looked at the map, shared out the leaflets and helped ourselves to some of the chocolates (Cadbury Heroes) that the task owner kindly gave us as a Thank You.
We started out as 'Absolute Beginners' as we tried to plot a logical route through the maze of the estate.
We soon found our rhythym though and didnt feel 'Under Pressure' at all. Before long it was 7.30pm and time to call it a night so we were 'Dancing In The Streets' back to the car park.
We particularly enjoyed one street that had its Halloween decorations out and provided a great backdrop for group selfie.
Jen's step count was around 9,000 so she gladly accepted a lift back almost to her car so she could just top them up with a short walk. (Didem, Helen - I slightly surpassed 10,000 by the time I reached home).

11 GoodGymers made their way to Holyport football club to help with painting the new tea bar and putting bark down in the very sodden car park!
A team of 5 kicked off the first half by painting the tea bar and had finished one side just as the rain really started to interrupt play
The remaining players, but by no means substitutes played a tremendous second half by putting down bark in the very boggy car park area which should make it a much more useable space for the club
Once we had finished these tasks, we put the tools away, washed out the paint pots and made our way to the side lines where we said our goodbyes and went home to get dry and warm!

Thursday 6:15/ 6:30pm is GoodGym Windsor Night! ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Tonights community mission was for the beautiful Alexander First School which was surprisingly dry despite the storms all afternoon.
We met task owner Adrienn at the school gates and made our way across the stunning school grounds for the task brief.
Didem, Amy and Mandy started with filing the sand pit using sand delivered to the car park area and transporting three wheel barrows full across the field before joining Sheila and Helen who were checking out the main task at the forest school.
We had a pile of wood chips to disperse into the forest and along the pathway and play areas to prepare for the winter mud.
It was really physical and so satisfying seeing the pike of wood chips going down and the path way being developed. We shared stories of our week and holidays while we worked.
Once that pile was all gone , wood you believe it, we had a second pile to tackle in the other forest school area . Now that involved up hill negotiations and we did well not to slip over with our loads. Helen did have a little topple of her barrow filling but โchip ๐ฉ happens! ๐คฃโ and it was scooped back in.
The night was drawing in and we were working on barrowed time. So we had our team photo and returned the tools to the storage area.
We celebrated our valued friend-chip, said our goodbyes and perfectly demonstrated the Windsor curtsy and bow ๐
Thank you all for coming!

Thursday 6:15/ 6:30pm is GoodGym Windsor Night! ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Tonights community mission was for Alexander First School.
Jen walked from The Binoy but was stalked en route by Mandy seeing her walk past her house. Jenni H, Helen and Didem met us at the task.
We were met by the task owner Adrienn who showed us the areas we needed to start on.
Tonight we had lots of digging up to do to remove plants and small plants/trees from two areas near the school building.
As always give GoodGymers a challenge they wonโt leave without achieving it. So those roots were not staying. We found all the tiny roots and the pick ones. Cut away and used the spade and gave it a wiggle here and there.
We took the bags of roots to the compost and saw the other chickens ๐๐๐๐
Just after the team photo we had a go at some netball/basket ball shots with an expert on hand to show us howโs itโs done. The task owners husband is an ex basketball player! Although you were all very good ๐๐ป๐
We were also lucky enough to be given some tomatoes from their vegetable garden and eggs from the chickens.
After the Windsor curtsy and bow we made our way home.
Thank you to Jenni for helping with the photos and everyone all for coming it was another outdoorsy fun evening ! ๐๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
