It was round two of soil shifting at Windsor Girls Schools tonight.
Didem, Helen and Jen met at The Binoy and set off walking. They soon bumped into Agni on her way to the task, followed by Mandy catching our tails as we arrived at the school. Adam met us at the task.
Equipped with a wheel barrow, spades, a fork, two trolleys and 3 bins we soon got to work moving the soil from a lawn at the front to a large planter at the rear of the school, working on pairs lightened the load.
Lots of to-ing and fro-ing, chat, laughter and Mandy's jokes helped the time fly by. Just time to share round the Heroes chocolates Gina had supplied for her 'Goodgym heroes' and a round of activity cards including counting in different languages and it was time to head our separate ways.

Braywick Plant Nurseries needed more help with potting up their plug plants, so they can be grown up ready to sell. Didem, Karen and Sheila got a good system going, and got through several trays of plants, keeping Bob busy finding space for them on the sales benches. Great work, team!

Adam and Jen walked from The Binoy to meet Didem at the task. The taskowner showed us the soil pile and took us round to the quadrangle where the soil needed to be moved to.
Using a trug, a trolley and a bin, before the squeaky wheelbarrow was dropped off we relayed the soil round to its new location and emptied it into the bed. Four or five trips later and it was time for one last job - relocating a 4- seater picnic table.
There is still plenty of soil to move so we will be setting up a return visit and look forward to having more hands on deck.

Due to the clocks springing forward at the weekend we enjoyed one of our first evening sessions of the year where head torches weren't required! A chatty hour of clearing ivy, brambles and other weeds from around the gravestones while the sun set behind us. Thanks to everyone (including Amanda from the Church) for coming along!

Well done everyone! I’m sad that I couldn’t join you. See you soon!
