Slough Report written by Slough runner
Today's task was to help Slough Outreach to sort out an area of their store room.
We sorted through boxes of clothes and piled them into 'mens, womens and childrens'.
Then went through the hanging items which were moved to the relevant area.
The ebayer's didn't get much more in their pile however vinted were on fire with their stash!
Jen was our valuation expert today. Pricing up a dress makers tool and an atlas.
Great to have Madyha back for her 3rd good deed.
Thank you to everyone that got involved today and especially to Agnija for organising the task.

Windsor and Maidenhead Report written by Jen Simpson (She/her)
Sung to the tune of 'Dancing in the Moonlight' by Toploader
Verse 1: Jen, Sheila and Sol, they’re walking down the lane, Broom Estate is quiet, but their cause is not in vain. With Homestart flyers shining, hope in every hand, They’re spreading love and kindness all across the land.
Chorus: Leafletting in the moonlight, Everybody’s feeling warm and bright. It’s such a fine and natural sight, Homestart’s message glowing in the night.
Verse 2: Door by door they wander, with laughter in their stride, Families feel the caring, the support that’s deep inside. Neighbours stop to listen, smiles begin to grow, Community together, stronger as they go.
Chorus: Leafletting in the moonlight, Everybody’s feeling warm and bright. It’s such a fine and natural sight, Homestart’s message glowing in the night.
Bridge: No one feels alone here, the leaflets tell the tale, Of friendship and of guidance, a lifeline that won’t fail. Jen, Sheila and Sol, they’re dancing as they give, A future full of kindness, a better way to live.
Final Chorus: Leafletting in the moonlight, Everybody’s feeling warm and bright. It’s such a fine and natural sight, Homestart’s message glowing in the night.

I love this! I sang the report out loud. I even considered singing it back to you in a voicenote Jen but then thought better of it! I love that squiggly strava map too.

Windsor and Maidenhead Report written by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
Sophie and Sol met for a gentle 1km jog to the task location and met the rest of the group (plus Flora the dog!) and task owner Helen by the park, after we'd admired the Christmas lights on one particular house that had really made an effort! Helen handed out litter pickers, bags and gloves and we split into small teams. Helen had specific areas in mind that were the hot spots for litter so we set to work after a short health and safety briefing. After an hour we had collected around 8-9 large bags of litter! Great job everyone we definitely made a big difference and lots of passers by were thanking us.
