Camden Report written by Pete Hutchings
What a fabulous sunny Sunday and very productive mission!
We had multiple teams taking on different tasks. Continuing the fantastic litter picking efforts from last week we found some very interesting items (the clue is in the title).
Thanks Linda for the report title!
A huge effort was made on sorting out the timber pile, cleaning it out and organising it as well as bringing salvaged timber from the allotment and other areas of the woods.
Then we had the tree planting team, that ended up being 90% prep work! Everyone got stuck in wedding, clearing leaves and litter. We had tons of leaves and broken branches that we relocated to the woods as a habitat pile. All of that before we could do any planting; within gaps in a hedgerow planted last year we put in new young Hawthorne, Blackthorn, Hazel and Dog Rose. All native trees that will provide great food and homes for nature.
Huge thanks to everyone regular and new for turning out and making it a great mission!

Katie Sawey earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Katie completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Katie was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Camden Report written by John Shirley
Tucked away behind Ingestre Road, is a small green space behind an estate.
Over the last year we’ve been helping out the Ingestre Residents Association and Camden Green Gym revamp the food growing space, the local woods and green space across the estate. They have some fantastic new raised beds and plants but the work continues. We’ve got a few tasks to complete over the next few Group Runs and Community Missions;
Our task today - to plant a complete hedgerow next to a wall, at the bottom of a slippery slope. Area activator Pete, and veterans John and Linda were joined by a large number of new GoodGymers, many of whom had been at uni together.
So not only did we plant most of the trees, but some other plants at the top of the slope. We also collected six bags of rubbish. And we'll be back there next Sunday.
