Woody and I had a productive session helping Mr A with his front garden. Mr A's strimmer wasn't working at first, so Woody got started cutting down the long grass with hedge trimmers which worked a treat! He then did a great job mowing the lawn.
I focused on cutting the edges of the grass and weeding the French drains and between the paving slabs.
Mr A was very pleased with the results!

It was a very windy morning, 7 GoodGymers ran or cycled 5km to Waterloo Park.
We joined the Friends of Waterloo Park volunteer group who meet every Saturday.
Todays task was clearing out weeds from the overgrown flower beds. After an hour it was a great to see the difference we made - check out the before and after photos!
We will be returning next month to help spread lots of wood chip. See you at the next one.

The team got stuck in this evening as we cleared leaves and planted spring bulbs.
Everyone worked hard and achieved a lot.
Thanks Maddy for the great photos!

Mrs T had several rose bushes in her front garden that she wanted to get rid of but could not do the work it took herself. I managed to get all of the roses out and make a start on an another big plant by the fence that needed to be tackled by her husband at the weekend.
Mrs T was very happy with the work and seemed over the moon with the amount of clearing that was done.

We visited SYEP to move and chop up some old wood, which will then be used for camp fires.
