We landed ourselves in poo so we just forked about

Norwich Report written by Steven Hitcham

I have to say I was a little nervous before tonight because the description of the task was a slight accidental/purpose mistake to what the actual main task was. It was in fact manure (aka poo) that was to be shovelled and moved but in my defence that is kind of made up from straw and compost.

We welcomed another 2 runners this week in Sinead and David... I'm hoping the task didn't put you off haha.

Katy was going to lead the group tonight with Frin and Mish being back runners so I could float about. It was quite a long run at about 4km each way.

So aside from shovelling s#!t, other jobs at Angelica's Rainbow were to sort the animals out, disinfect the fences and some general tidying up bits.

The sheep and pony were pretty cute to be fair so was nice for everyone to pet them for a bit.

Back to the poo, Ali (sporting bags over his trainers), Stephen, Tammy and David were straight in there (literally) and started forking together, transporting the poo into barrows for a team of others to transport them to the truck where Sinead was helping to unload the forked produce.

With Kev being from Wales, he had to have the obligatory photo with a sheep.

As always, the team were proactive and found other jobs that needed doing (although I think their rate went up to time and a turd) so it was really useful to Angelica's Rainbow.

After about 35 minutes we headed back to The Forum with Grapes Hill thrown in there too.

I know people say I talk about s#!t a lot of the time well I think this run report demonstrates that haha but that's enough for now... oh wait, not quite as Frin mentioned that when she got home a piece off sheep poo fell off her so she tamely placed it on her husband's leg... now that is true love at it's very best.

Next week we are still running on bank holiday as we visit Bluebell Allotments.

Mamma Mia, HARE I GoGo again, mymy how much I missed cleaning ya

Norwich Report written by Steven Hitcham

Tonight was the return of cleaning the GoGoHares for Break Charity on yet another lovely sunny evening in Norwich.

We welcomed the lovely Kerry and Hassan on their 1st GoodGym adventure.

30 GoodGym Norwich members completed Run Norwich 10km yesterday so we did a round of applause for those who ran and volunteered.

Bobby and Brad were on their 10 good deed and Darren on his 25th good deed!!!

After the warm up I split everyone into 4 groups with a list of GoGoHares to clean, a map and a hare care kit. The aim was to meet at Chapelfield Gardens before 7.50pm for a quick sprint session... this was a FAIL.

I joined group 3 for a while just to make sure they weren't going to waste time to avoid doing the sprint session. Along the way even members of the public wanted to take photos of us with the GoGoHares... so it was time to get the gun show out.

I left group 3 halfway through (I think I was starting to annoy them haha) and went to Chapelfield Gardens eagerly awaiting everyone... and then stumbled across group 4 in the playing area and they hadn't even cleaned all their GoGoHares yet - so I put them through their sprint session there and then before they could go and finish the job they should be doing.

Group 1 came and met me and did their sprint session and then we headed back to The Forum and what a surprise group 3 were there waiting (so I made them sprint to the end of the road and back haha).

Group 2 turned up 10 minutes late (the irony) but still gave them the orders... funnily enough a photo later emerged of them in the pub... great way to avoid your sprint session ;-)

I clearly got the impression everyone wasn't up for the sprint session tonight haha but it was still great fun and everyone did a fantastic job.

There's some cracking photos so enjoy.

Next week we're off to Eaton Park.
