It was time to head up and over the hill(s) to Seniors for an indoor task cleaning the windows, the cafe table and chairs and the children's toys.
Everyone got stuck into the various tasks and we even had quality control on the windows with Jacqueline giving them the once over and cleaning any missing bits!
There was a smaller group at Glass Mill that felt like it doubled in size when we got to Seniors and then even smaller group by the time we got back to Glass Mill - we had the numbers where it mattered and that was the most important!
The ladies and gentlemen at Seniors will be very grateful for our efforts, especially when the sunshine is streaming through the windows this morning! Hopefully not highlighting any streaks...

Monday's group run was minimal running but maximum satisfaction of leaving our start point looking free of litter!
The plan was to head over to the Waterlink Way to tackle the litter as its always a hot spot for beer cans and other debris. A change of plan occurred when I arrived at Glass Mill and I saw the litter flying around outside!
We split into 2 groups to tackle one side of Glass Mill each and after an hout of litter hunting, we ended with 7 full bags of litter!!
We usually end up finding some surprising items on our litter picks but our most surprising item this week was half a coconut!
Thanks to Glass Mill for disposing of all the litter for us - they were very grateful for our help keeping the area tidy. It's a hot spot for litter so maybe we'll tackle it every once in a while.
Next week, we are heading over to Senior's for an indoor task. As it's a longer (and hilly) run, we're going to aim to set off at 18.45 on the dot.

We haven't been to The PNK Garden for a couple of months so it was exciting to be revisiting and see what they've been up to. It's a longer run to this task and bordering on our neighbours in Southwark - it was great teamwork to make sure everyone got there and back in one piece.
There were multiple tasks to tackle in the garden: - clearing the leaves and removing any litter - shoveling the stones into smaller bags that will them easier to move - ripping the material off divan beds, the frames will then be used for planters - collecting pallets from the surrounding streets
The missing pallets have now reappeared - if anyone would like to help bring them to the garden, let me know and I'll check when Lara will be at the garden.
After a busy 40min it was time for us to say our goodbyes and head off on the journey home to Glass Mill

Olaide Williams has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Olaide is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

Olaide Williams completed their first run in a new area.
Curious? Olaide has just run their first session in another area. For that explorative spirit Olaide is awarded the scout badge. A Scout is trustworthy

It was another week of double tasks which means we can help more wonderful organisations in our borough - it's fantastic that there was enough of us to tackle both tasks!
One of our tasks was to continue the painting and sanding at Enable Warm Hub, soon this will be a cosy welcoming space. Don't forget there's community missions there everyday this week in case you have a spare hour and fancy continuing the painting.
Our other task for the evening was to head over the The Albany to tackle the weeds in the vegetable patch but there was the usual confusion of what is a weed and what is a plant that may grow back in the spring/summer. We managed to identify sage, mint and lemonbalm and removed some of the surrounding weeds along with a lot of litter!
The second group at The Albany tackled the litter in the garden which always has a lot of litter that blows in from the surrounding streets. We also had a visit from a friendly neighbourhood fox!
Next week is a slightly longer run to PNK Garden, we'll aim to set off promptly so we can maximise the time spent at the task.
