Only Jewels and (fitness) Courses: Don't be a plonker Rodney be a Planker :)

Sunday 9th August 2020

Written by Sheffield runner

GG gems met to maintain this lovely little green space.

Our activities included: * litterpicking * trimming, weeding and watering the herb beds * weeding the paths and beds * jointly sampling the delightful mulberries and plums in the garden

Inspired by the GG Shindig best practice sharing yesterday, we incorporated a group fitness session into the community mission involving music, planking, sit ups and wall sits.

Shout out to Rachel and Daiana as the last ones sitting to Daiana's calming classical music in the sitting competition, with Daiana taking the trophy :)

It was great to hang out and chat with GG friends, please look out for future community listings at this space :) Look forward to seeing you there :)

Alexandra Gardening

Sunday 2nd February 2020

Written by Sam Needham

We helped make the gardens presentable again, loading up a bulk bag with green waste, weeding & moving leaf mulch. Leeds GG runners Tom and Rachael joined us and helped GG Sheffield and Alexandra Road neighbours cutting back the buddleia, transplanting the gooseberry bushes and weed beds where fruit trees will be planted later on . We even had a ray of sunshine joining us!

All the leaves are down..[all the leaves are down]..And we're raking them away

Sunday 1st December 2019

Written by Sheffield runner

In summary... Round and round the mulberry tree, together we raked and picked up, loads of leaves.

(Chainsaw) Simon said... let's get these trees pruned to bed.

Never leafing out a good cup of tea, we gratefully welcomed Jane's hospitality.

Heads...shoulders.. knees and toes, knees and toes! Heads, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes! We kept them all as - as no GoodGymers used any powertools :)

Join GG in 2020 for another year of monthly fun helping out this lovely community project :)
