Really keeping it under wraps, I delayed writing this report until the bears were on the streets of Sheffield.. (I think they have been there a few weeks now..)
5 GGrs supported The Children's Hospital Charity for this great pre-event where all the bears were brought together prior to roaming (or being strategically placed) the streets of Sheffield for the public to enjoy as part of their fund raising campaign to raise vital funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital to transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward for patients.
We: * unloaded colourful bears from the delivery vehicles - shouting Timbear! * shifted bears * curated bears - o so many colours and designs, which look best next to which? * unwrapped bears * cleaned bears * found and placed bear names and artist information next to bears * posed in bubble wrap followed by tidying it up of course
Fun fact: How many cups of tea does it take to be Creative? The original botantical garden bear sculpture found in Sheffield's Botantical Gardens, in its creation, 200 cups of tea went into the making :)

If you go out to Peddlers Market today You're sure of a big surprise. If you go out to Peddlers today today You'd better go in GG guise.
For every bear that ever there was Will gather there for certain, because Today's the day the Sheffield bears have their pre-event.
Our lovely GGr Bee help set out socially distanced bears for this great pre-event where all the big bear colourful sculptures from various artists came together prior to taking to the streets of Sheffield, on the Sculpture Trail this year.
A big cheer/ bear roar (do bears roar?) for our lovely GGr Bee, in her supporting The Children's Hospital Charity throughout their Bear Sculpture Trail. With bears currently out and about all over Sheffield, Bee first helped prepare the bears for this pre-event where all 60+ big bears came together under one roof prior to roaming the streets of Sheffield :) She then took part as late night/ early bird street art installer to put them into position for the general public to enjoy. Not stopping there she has been checking in on a number of the bears regularly to check and report any vandalism... and on top of this cleaning the bears on the streets too :) :) :) I can vouch for this as I joined Bee on her Bear cleaning trail this weekend gone :) Wonder-Woman Bee :)
In making this report educational for myself here's the science bit (http://www.bearsmart.com/about-bears/communication/): 'Unlike bears in movies with dubbed-in soundtracks, bears do not usually vocalize. When the need arises, they communicate with grunts by expelling air in different ways, or with a resonant “voice.” Bears use the same vocalizations and body language toward people that they do toward each other, and knowing those sounds can help people react appropriately to bears they encounter' :)
