LeafletGym!

Tuesday 24th September

Written by Miriam

Tonight Morwennna, Eve and I met up for another delivery of Change Kitchen leaflets! We ran to Kings Heath and were able to deliver Heathfield Road, Melton Road and Institute Road.

We then went for a run through Highbury Park, appreciating the still light evenings, and had a good natter on the way back to base. 5K run, plenty of leaflets delivered, and time for a drink in the pub afterwards - a successful night in my eyes! Well done everyone, it was a fab night.

Olympic Gold In Leafleting

Tuesday 30th July

Written by Miriam

Tonight Miriam and Rich put in a good shift delivering leaflets for Change Kitchen. Unsure on how many but we worked for 30 minutes and covered 4 roads!

Afterwards we headed through Highbury Park, Cannon Hill Park and the Rea on a beautiful 5k route listening to the Olympics with a headphone each, before heading back to base for waters!

Get it in the box!

Tuesday 21st May

Written by Jonny Carter

Tonight Helen and Jonny did some leafleting for Change Kitchen.

We met at New Street Station before running with heavy bags full of leaflets to Balsall Heath.

Once there we got to work! I reckon we delivered over 200 in total! On the way we were greeted by at least 3 of the local feline population. The ginger and white kittie looking very chilled on their seat!

Once done it was time for a quick selfie before Jonny headed back to New Street with a slightly lighter rucksack. Helen took a steady walk home after already running around 10k in total.

That's most of the leaflets now delivered for Change Kitchen in Balsall Heath, but still a few remain so they'll certainly be cause for one more session :)

A Marathon of Leaflets!

Tuesday 23rd April

Written by Jonny Carter

Tonight it was leafleting for Change Kitchen.

Morwenna and Jonny ran from New Street station and then met Helen and James at the task.

The task was to basically deliver as many leaflets as we could, which I think we certainly did!

We still have more to do, so that will be another task in a few weeks :)

Once done, Jonny and James this time ran back to New Street station. James is running the Madrid Marathon on Sunday (hence the pun, combined with a bit of post London excitement!) so we all wish him the best of luck :)

High step count

Tuesday 2nd April

Written by Miriam

Morwenna, Eve and myself went on a slightly soggy 5k run including delivering an entire road's worth of leaflets for Change Kitchen.

Change Kitchen is a community cafe, offering a warm welcome to all in the community serving tasty plant based meals. The leaflets we delivered were to let people know about the cafe and also included a hot drink voucher.

While leafleting we spotted loads of cute cats, and Morwenna especially climbed a lot of stairs to get to the letterboxes!!

Running, leafleting and cats, what more could you want??!!

Thursday 14th March

Written by Jonny Carter

Tonight J and J or Jonny and James ran into Balsall Heath to deliver a load of leaflets for Change Kitchen.

We did three whole streets in total, seeing a couple of friendly neighbourhood cats on the way.

We've still got plenty to deliver so will get the rest done in due course.

James, training for the Madrid Marathon, had already done a good 9k by the end, with Jonny doing over 6k, so a good night of running :)
