Coventry & Warwickshire Charity Xmas Treecycling Scheme

Raising money for charity by recycling used real Christmas Trees.
Every January a team of volunteers collects and recycles real Xmas Trees from homes and businesses in return for a donation to 2 local charities: Myton Hospices & Pass The Smile for Ben. The volunteer-led project organises everything: marketing, leafletting, vans, volunteers, trees shredding and disposal.

6 GoodGymers have supported Coventry & Warwickshire Charity Xmas Treecycling Scheme with 1 task.

A-maze-ing!

Saturday 5th March 2022

Written by Liz Pharoah

So lovely to be back barrowing shredded Christmas trees. This is our third year supporting Myton Hospice and Pass the Smile for Ben with their Christmas tree collection.

The paths into the maze needed covering as they had got a little boggy. The middle of the maze so needed covering.

It was interesting to see how many of us remembered the way in. There were a few wrong turns, a new route to the centre but no one was lost and there were lots of smiles.

Well done Katherine and Nigel on 3 Community missions today, Lil and Laura on 2 Community missions today and Katherine on her 100th Good deed!!!
