Today’s achievement: some paths visible again and a huge amount of nettles cleared, with lots of stings in the process!

Time for a bit of citizen science - water sampling as part of Earthwatch’s FreshWater Watch

As per the instructions - I took a water sample, mixed it into tubes to test for nitrate and phosphate, and waited for the colours to change…

The creation of Naturehoods is an initiative by Earthwatch, where a community gets involved with wildlife-friendly activities.
Marston is a Naturehood area, and the people there need to know about it - what they can do to help wildlife in their gardens, and how they can get involved with community actions! ...

Enter GoodGym! 6 GoodGygmers posted leaflets through letterboxes around New Marston until we had delivered the lot.

A very beautiful Summer's evening ended with well-deserved chips and drinks in the Victoria Arms :)
