Been a weird time of year, the Euro's have started and yet pubs gardens cannot be trusted in this weather.
It meant the only thing that can be done is keep on volunteering with Goodgym, which found me and Michelle unbinding some of the bindweed around Fulham Palace gardens.
Fortunately the heavens waited until we were safely back inside as we warmed ourselves up with some lovely coffee!

A particularly chilly Saturday morning saw three Goodgymmers link up to tackle bind weed that was infecting the hedges surrounding Fulham Palace.
Digging out the roots gave us a very good idea of how hard it is to get rid of the weed once its got itself established, needing continually cutting back and its so hardy it must be kept separate from standard compost!
Thanks to Michelle and Chris for coming by!

Despite the beautiful sun and sky it was a bitter day on Saturday, with an icy wind not stopping us from enjoying the beautiful buds of spring.
However this same budding means that Goodgym's old enemy thistles have begun to poke their head from above ground.
This is what we found ourselves tackling on Saturday, breaking the ground and pulling out the little rapscallions so that the crocuses and daffodils could continue to flourish!
Lovely to see Dipeeka, Rohan and Holly at the session, thank you so much for coming!

A pleasant Saturday morning saw a bunch of Goodgymmers come together to help out around Fulham Palace.
We cleared out Ivy and other foliage from around the listed trees in the Palace grounds so their roots had room to breathe and could be inspected for any wear and tear. Our runners took to the practice with good gusto and also cleared out the areas around the newly emerging snowdrops and croci.
We also welcomed Emma to her first ever mission with Goodgym. It was brilliant to meet you Emma and I hope we'll get to see you again soon!
Thank you all for coming! Some of us also got to enjoy the wonderful baked goods of the cafe; though none of us were quite sure how to define a tiffin.

On a chilly morning at the end of November, myself and Analiese helped gather up the normal shedding of leaves at this time of year.
Unlike other places these leaves will be put to good use making mulch and fertiliser to keep the gardens look so lovely!
Afterwards was the customary coffee but this time we branched out and got some lovely porridge instead!
