What better way to start a gloriously sunny Sunday than with a vigorous GG Commish at the wonderful Headley Park Primary! We split into teams to clear the remains of an old shed (and some pretty hefty sleepers), as well as two vegetable beds and numerous planters to create more space for the pupils to play. In the course of our work(out), we unearthed a few beetroots, a couple of squashes, and a massive rosemary bush. That was Sunday roast sorted.
Special shout-out to Simon, who recently moved back to Bristol and joined our Goodgym family for the first time today. Welcome Simon!
We proudly completed the mission with 5 minutes to spare, during which we attempted to pack up the harvest of our good deed in a run/cycle-friendly way. Thank you, Emma, for letting us have these lovely (and tasty) mementos of today's task!

Four runners performed yet another good deed at Headley Park Primary. Starting indoors, we moved furniture to set up a daycare space for disabled pupils. How many GoodGymmers does it take to move a cupboard? Insert witty answer here Next, we tackled the old compost heap outside, shovelling earth and moving it into the school's shrubbery. The shrubs are now well fertilised and the area outside the tool shed is free to be transformed into something new and exciting, like an outdoor learning space. Or a UFO landing pad.

4 runners assembled at Headley Park Primary School to tidy up their outside spaces. We tidied around the cycle parking area to improve access - bring on the cyclists! Then we tackled an old compost heap, moving planks of wood and piling them up for an epic bonfire. Once again, a great full body workout for a good cause! We also admired the progress on the lovely library/music room, which we helped with last week. Well done Team Headley Park Primary!

Three runners met on a beautiful summer evening to help Headley Park Primary School reorganise their space. Tirelessly, we moved tables, chairs, shelves, and books, resting briefly to inspect some of the excellent library books. Overall, the perfect GG community mission: a full-body workout for a great cause. Looking forward to coming back next week to help this lovely school make the most of their space.

The task for this mission was to help move and clear out a load of stuff from the primary school to help make it all tidy and spacious for when the children come come back in September. This involved clearing the playgrounds of boxes, crates, heaving bags of old books from classrooms and removing big branches of a trees outside. Rain did not stop play in the playground this time! Well done everyone!
