Sweeping away the cobwebs
Thank you to my team tonight - Barbara and Paula were all set when I arrived . We were then joined by Paul who was fresh from ski-ing and also Gillybean who it was great to see back again.
We had been invited back to Linfield House garden which is a regular task for us during the spring and summer months. However today it looked as if we were beaten to it. Both green bins were fairly full and nearly all the beds looked very tidy and in order. However we did find some weeding to do and also a fair bit of pruning of the clematis to remove the dead wood underneath it.
50 minutes later we ended with the only photo of the night ( Belinda - I think Ive forgotten to take them since you have been in charge of photography the last few weeks!) and mulched our debris into the green bins.
Looking forward to seeing you all next week at our new task and Birthday celebrations

Brush it away
Picture a windy chilly and damp November Monday evening and thats the weather that my my amazing team turned out for tonight.
Thank you Gillybean who cycled over, Paul who walked over together with Paula , Barbara and John
With the beefit of head torches and Uncle Ivo's lights we were able to do a good prune, tidy up and sweep of the pretty courtyard garden amd managed to fill up the best part of 2 green bins.
The usual banter was flowing and, despite the dark November feel it was a very happy 45 minutes.

I had a really fun filled lovely evening spent with my GG volunteers - finally some warm weather combined with a beautiful courtyard garden and great conversation and banter amongst my small but very mighty team.
Fresh from Bristol ( for £11 ) Ricky came along to share his pride. it was lovely to be able to wish Ricky congratulations in person for this Bristol half marathon PB result. Huge kudos Mr Rickster and enjoy being off the wagon for a few weeks before the Worthing 10k in June ( just not too many shared beers with John !!
Gillybean was her usual amazing self. Fresh from her cat nap ( literally she napped with her cat! ) she led the task tonight. Her knowledge and experience with gardening are 2nd to none and I'm always super grateful to have her steer on what to do and what not to prune!
Finally we have our unique, loyal and one of the nicest humans I'm privileged to know ... Babs Barbara who always brings energy, humour and a degree of risqué to every task.
The reason for the pun? There was an extensive amount of pruning right to the stump of the unknown palm with a plethora of black berries ( which Gill said were bad, so we got rid of)
Thank you all - this evening made me realise just how much I believe in GoodGym.
See you all at the next task - its this Wednesday 17th May at Kamelia Kids - lets try and make it as special as it was tonight!
