Two GoodGymmers had a ball at Oakwell Hall! After a leisurely 5k around the grounds we met up with Gordon and the guys from Ride Kirklees. We filled our wheelbarrows with tools and raced to the mountain bike track, where the burms were being reinstated with the help of a wacker plate. Our task was to race to fill the wheelbarrows with gravel, tip them onto the track where they were compacted by the waker plate. We shifted the pile of gravel and then loaded the tools into the wheelbarrows and raced back.

GoodGym Huddersfield were at Oakwell Hall for the second Saturday in succession. This week we were working with mountain bike advocacy group Ride Kirklees to help maintain the mtb trail.
We shoveled stones and barrowed gravel to help build up and resurface worn sections of the route. Thanks to the efforts of Kati Law, Ben Godfrey, San Kapil and myself (plus all the other Ride Kirklees volunteers) the trail will now be flowing s lot faster for all the its users.

It was mattocks, spades and sledgehammers out this morning at Oakwell Hall Country Park as GoodGym Huddersfield got busy impriving a section of pathway.
Under the watchful eyes of Rangers Amanda and Scott, we dug out the old edging boards, installed new ones and finally resurfaced the path with gravel.
Another excellent job for the GoodGym crew, thanks to Kati Law, Ben Godfrey, Tom Elcock and GoodGym first timer Diane McKay.
