One of our GoodGym regular tasks is help to deliver one of the every-growing family of papers for Mel and Amanda at the Heaton's Post.
The paper is a heartwarming collection of local news from around Stockport, and this week, it was even more special to see GoodGym Stockport appear not once, but twice(!!!) in articles in the paper!
We set from base, with loaded rucksacks and ran the Tuesday cobwebs away delivering the news to the residents of Reddish!

Another delivery task for the fabulous folk at the Heaton's Post. This time, our run took us out to the community of Reddish to deliver a hefty batch of papers to the residents.
We set off on a mile sunny run there with our rucksacks weighted for maximum impact. We chatted our way round the route, delivering the Heaton's news as we went.
Even the local cats wanted a piece of the action!
With the load lighter, we returned to base, a little hotter and having worked up a decent sweat for the day!

The final of our trio delivery sessions for The wonderful Heaton's Post. This week's group run task was to cross the Mersey and deliver the Didsbury Post.
As the nights are getting darker, we embraced the beautiful sunflowers that were scattered along our delivery route, adding that extra bit of sunshine to the evening.
Our run was a downward weighted jog, crossing over the Mersey river and arriving at our delivery destination. We quickly folded and posted, avoiding the rain clouds above, before taking on the uphill journey back to base.

One of our wonderful regular tasks is to deliver the brilliant Heaton's (Cheadle, Didsbury and now even Chorlton!) post to the local community, with smiles on our faces and weighted rucksacks on our back!
Our target area of Peel Moat is nestled in the heart of Heaton Moor and gave us a good 1.5 mile run from our Life Leisure Houldsworth Village bass to the delivery start point.
Just as our run was due to begin, along came the torrential storm - rain, rain and more rain!
Did we let it stop us? Absolutely not! not!
We dodged puddles, lept over lakes and embraced the wet dog look with great enthusiasm!
On our run, we welcomed back Rob, Pete and Lauren from their Summer travels and our new recruits (now regulars) YingXin and Emma joined us once again.
I think we absolutely STORMED the task!

We were privileged to be tasked with distributing the very first edition of the community publication 'The Cheadle Post', and once again were asked to return to delivery running to deliver the paper once more. We used Life Leisure Cheadle as our meeting point and distribution base and running/walking/cycling out to the nearby streets to post The Post!
For the second week RUNNING, we loaded our backpacks and set off for an uphill weighted run to deliver the wonderful community paper, The Cheadle Post.
With torrential rain throughout the day, we took full advantage of a quick break in the rain to speedily whizz round and keep our precious papers dry and get a fun and chatty workout in the sack!

Our group run last night was to help the wonderful Cheadle Post community newspaper get to the doors of the fabulous folk of Cheadle Hulme.
With rusksacks filled to the brim with the papers, we began our weighted hill sprints to our targeted.posting area. The night was light but the bags were heavy - just the way we like our runs!
Whilst nattering away about adventures awaiting, Russian exams, parkrun tourism and the standard tea discussions, we distributed our batch of The Cheadle Post and finished with a leisurely downhill jog with lighter bags and a great sense of achievement.
