Falling in love with Running and doing good!

Redbridge Report written by James Poole

On a wet and wintery January morning, five of Goodgym's most tenacious runners met at Valentine Park Parkrun and then an easy jog to Wanstead Community Allotments.

The crew made up of Anna, Peter and James from Redbridge, Jason from Hammersmith & Fulham and Tim from Newham were soon at work weeding the beds and paths in the allotment - a site used to educate children on the benefits of healthy eating.

With the running done the group were able to spend almost an hour talking the task before an easy run back to Wanstead Station and the train home.

Valentines Parkrun

Redbridge Report written by Peter Van Tongeren

For a change the weather predictions were quite accurate - miserable! The wind + cold + drizzle was such that only a few hardy Goodgym runners managed to find their way to Valentines Park.

Sheltering from the rain it showed to be quite a mixed group for Parkrun, with people from Leicester & Portsmouth & Southend joining those from slighty closer by within the M25 for a run, some with the added motivation of adding the V to their Parkrun Alphabet!

The coffee / tea / hot chocolate afterwards did make up for the dampness though so back with a spring in the step the crew made their way to the (improvised) task James managed to sort out after the original task had to cancel at the last moment.

P.S.... pictures are to follow
