Francis and Kim joined Trees of Wimborne once again to help manage the young trees that were planted 3 years ago.
The hardest part was spotting the little saplings in there plastic covers in the hedgerows that have grown around them since! Once spotted they chopped back the growth of brambles and other vegetation to give the trees more space to grow and the light they need.
Thank you to Trees of Wimborne for having us!

Francis, James and Kim were clearing the overgrown paths at Hamworthy Park that have been making it particularly difficult for wheelchair users to enjoy the beautiful park.
They cleared many buckets of dirt and grass and Francis even used his ‘eco broom’ to make sure the paths were especially tidy!
We’ll be arranging to go back there over the rest of the summer to continue with more of the paths

Clearer paths will help people access the park especially for wheelchair uses

Francis and Kim were there to marshal for Race for Life, Francis at Marshal point 1 and Kim at marshal point 2.
Their job was keep to the runners, walkers and joggers of the 10k, 5k and 3k route safe and heading on the right path whilst cheering them on.
After those events Francis was stationed at the ‘Mission Obstacle’ for the Pretty Muddy event that saw the runners dive under a net, crawling through sand to the end of the obstacle whilst Francis had the delight of throwing water onto the hot runners!
Thank you to Race for Life with Cancer Research Uk for hosting the event and well done Francis for attending his first Goodgym mission.
