8 GoodGymers made a wonderful difference in Kentish Town!
We took a visit to one of our usual haunts last night.
Nestled in a corner of a cul de sac — away from the usual bustle of Kentish Town — is a very special sheltered housing scheme.
With a winding garden full of seasonal delights, this group got to quick work yesterday evening!
❤️ Alex, Sam (on their first good deed — welcome!), and Steve transformed a weed strewn vegetable patch into a perfect image of fresh soil ripe and ready for next year's planting :)
❤️ Gary and John started off by weeding one flower bed... then two... then three! And then they turned their quick hands to raking and sweeping, making everything better by the minute :)
❤️ Caitlin and Jackie visited a resident's garden and made the swiftest and most efficient work of the fallen leaves, gifting this space back to the very grateful resident :)
Thank you, everyone! Here's to next time!

4 GoodGymers caught an early weekend good deed!
This lovely group — DaMarcus, Gary, Jackie, and Alex — enjoyed a sun-filled Saturday morning at Rathmore House Care Home in Primrose Hill.
Amidst chatter and conversation, this hard-working crew raked and swept and bagged up 3 garden sacks worth of fallen leaves.
This work will give the grass and plants a little welcome space to breathe :)
Thank you, everyone!!
Thursday 30th October

9 GoodGymers Lifted the Curfew in Camden!!
Every October GoodGym teams up with This Girl Can to back the wonderful #LetsLiftTheCurfew campaign.
As the evenings grow longer this campaign is all about creating safe spaces for everyone – and especially women – at night.
And this lovely group – of Emilie, Gary (who's recently joined our Camden crew – welcome!), Jackie, John, Kareem, Lydia, Siobhan, and Steve – created a brilliantly safe and inclusive space last night!
Amidst the evening bustle of Camden Town, we set up shop at Cecil Sharp House, where a bountiful haul of fallen leaves awaited us.
Following a lively group warm up – where we nearly counted to 30... – we grabbed brooms and gloves and rakes and bags, and we started clearing up this special communal garden :)
Within 60 minutes this group made a visibly brilliant difference – thank you so much, everyone!
Here's to next time!!

Gary earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Gary completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Gary was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Emily, Alice, David and Cherion were joined by new Goodgymers Hannah and Gary (welcome)!
Tasks for the morning included moving tables up to the top field, putting up marquees, carrying manure bags, and cleaning tables, ahead of the Apple Day tomorrow. Cleaning the tables was tougher than expected - we even used kitchen implements to scrape off the dirt (thanks to Gary's ingenuity).
Miriam was so pleased with our help she invited us back to set up the Christmas fair in December.

It was lovely meeting you all! Looking forward to putting up those marquees in December already! 🤣
