Sheffield Report written by Tom Mutton
On a dark eve, with streets filled with later to be disappointed Arsenal football fans, we set off from our base of the Showroom Cinema to the REGATHER Co-operative to meet old friend GORGEOUS GARETH.
Gareth welcomed us with a big smile and open arms and took us through the tasks for the eve which would help the local co-operative out. This week it included:
We got straight onto the tasks and also enjoyed a bit of Regather history whilst on task around how an 18th century working streetlight came to be homed in this snug little community venue.
Conversations were also had re most interesting pieces of rubbish found litter picking which this week included a wet towel in a bag, a suitcase, some pyjamas and a kitchen knife which was passed onto Gareth to pass onto the police. Discussions in other areas of the building entailed fave apples and horror films, very diverse.
On the way back to base we used our new and very handy portable lights to light up an area for some FUN FITNESS which this week included;
We did ten reps of each followed by a sprint around the circular fence to make a quick but effective interval session!
On return home we heard about all the latest upcoming events and headed into the now much quieter Showroom for after run drinks.
Until next time, happy running!

James run a race with GoodGym for the first time.
James has done their first race with GoodGym. Performing on the day is a lot of pressure; James's dealt with the nerves and turned up on the day to make it happen.

Newcastle Report written by Southwark runner
Today’s task was cutting back the shrubs and hedges so it’s easier for to see into the lovely St Lawrence park.
I arrived a little late... and joined Amy, Andrew, Paul and James just as Mike from Newcastle Parks was dishing out the tools
Andrew, Amy and myself got stuck into one big and knotted hedge whilst Paul and James made short work of cutting back a big leafy hedge
We managed to cut loads back, even in between nibbling on very ripe wild blackberries. Had a quick break to say hi to St Lawrence park regulars, Lurpak and Bentley and I accidentally stepped into some wasps... fortunately I was wearing some very thick socks...
We finished off the task clearing away all we had chopped down and Evan cycled in to help us too.
Really great task and we really could see the difference! Check out our group photo of us all standing tall behind the hedge. If you want to get involved, check out Harbottle Park tomorrow!
