9 Westminster GoodGymers ran 9k to Ark Atwood Primary School to help get the memorial rooftop garden ready for the grand opening next Tuesday.
The longest run we do but in gorgeous sunshine and with a good stretch along the canal it was great to get the legs turning over on such an enjoyable run.
Meeting Patti who is the driving force behind this amazing memorial roof garden for a pupil of the school that passed away far too soon.
After all our incredible efforts moving 2 tonnes on stones from the roof to allow the garden to happen we had lighter tasks this week.
Shifting 150 planks of wood into secret locations to tidy the area up for the opening ceremony and to allow space for the planters to be constructed on Saturday.
We then went around the front of the school to weed and sweep up the little garden to get it looking at it's best while on show.
Some pictures in the new sun trap of a roof garden and we were complete. Dancing off up the canal and back to base at a rhythmical run upping the pace at the end!
Thanks for coming along and hope to see you next week for a shorter run but a lot of fun at St Andrews Youth Club.

10 Amazing GoodGymers ran 6k to spread the Easter love to the homeless community of Westminster by donating and handing out 100 hot cross buns, hands of bananas, Easter eggs, cereal bars and water.
First job of the day was to bag up all the super generous Easter treats ready to be handed out on our Westminster homeless loop.
With so many super generous donations ready to go we headed out ready to bring some Easter cheer.
Running through Homeless hot spots in Mayfair, Victoria, Charing Cross, Piccadilly and Oxford Circus we managed to give out pretty much all of our treats!! A few left overs brought a smile to a few in Vauxhall station on my way home.
Thanks for making the session so positive and uplifting to the homeless community of Westminster. Our small gesture was very well received!
See you next week for our visit to St Andrews youth club!
