Josie Ashdown completed their first weekend mission.
Josie has forgone the usual weekend routine. Instead of lie-ins, roasts and strolls around the park Josie has dropped everything to run a GoodGym mission for someone who needed help. Respect

Lambeth Report written by Effie
We had perfect weather for the task at hand, Ms D had managed to make some good progress on clearing her garden, but her health meant she had to stop, that's where we stepped in.
We got straight to work, hauling palm leaves and trunks into bags ready for collection. We made light work of it, finishing in half an hour, so Josie suggested we clear up the rest of the garden.
We got back to work and discovered a pond, straighten some paving to reduce the trip hasard and pulled a lot of broken tiles out of the soil.
Ms D was so grateful for our help, she told us lots of stories of her time at the house, and how the garden had got so overgrown because she had been at her daughter's isolating from covid. It was a delight to be able to help her out, and give her the space to enjoy her garden once again, with summer just around the corner.

Ms D is required by her landlord to clear her garden, a job she is unable to manage herself due to her health, and which is causing her a lot of stress. She would also like to be able to benefit from and enjoy her garden again.

Lambeth Report written by Mark Gilyead (he/him)
First up, big up totally fresh to GG; Josie, Andrew and Erica - thanks for coming along :)
Tonight GG Lambeth ran to Jubilee Primary School to smash through a massive task.
We had a couple of run options - Direct 2k with me or a little 5k loop with the burgundy boys (Alfie & Steve).
Then we arrived at Jubilee Primary ready to crack on:
1️⃣ Pulling out weeds - not the bulbs, the fake parsley or the tulips 💐 - just the weeds 🌱
2️⃣ Moving the big bags of soil and emptying them into the planter. 👜
3️⃣ Planting some lovely shrubs into the planter 🌳
Things we learnt:
1️⃣ There's a children's book called "Dogger"
2️⃣ Heads, ELBOWS, Knees and Toes is a great song to remind us how to run up hills (and it rhymes better than the original).
3️⃣I need to get another set of keys cut.
All tasks and knowledge learning was done extra efficiently, and what would have taken Juan hours on his own was done in 30 minutes by team Lambeth. ✊
GoodGym Lambeth, I love your work.
Hopefully see you next week for moving out a load of furniture from Brixton Road Youth Centre!
