Julie Fern earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Julie completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Julie was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

York Report written by York runner
The basketball court at the end up Upper St Pauls Park was totally covered in leaves - leaves everywhere! So GoodGym York went into to clear it all up.
We were joined by a local volunteer and a couple of kids too, who loved scooping up all the leaves. One of the kids is a local at our junior parkrun and was very excited that a bunch of runners had come to help. She gave us a bit of her wisdom about running.
When you get older, you can't run as fast because you lose the fun
That's why we do GoodGym, to bring all the fun back. We were sweeping and raking the court and surrounding grassy banks, as well as the play area - and filling up huge tonne sacks with all the debris.
One of the kids decided she wanted to play on the monkey bars instead of sweeping, and her friend said to her:
People come here and they'll say "it's a really nice park" because you've done this stuff and then you'll feel happy
That's pretty much the whole ethos of GoodGym , she'd nailed it. Make yourself feel happy, make other people feel happy and all from doing a little bit of good.
