We are a small charity with limited resources, so jobs like this often fall by the wayside. It helps us to continue to focus on our core work, but also with compost, it means we can have less inputs and save money

What a great weekend the GoodGym Leeds crew just had!
We headed up to near Appletreewick in the Yorkshire Dale's for a night of camping.
Camping & Clueless: My lack of camping skills were on full display & along with a borrowed, very sad looking tent, we set up our pitch. Adam & Eva were the heroes of the hour as they'd luckily brought a spare that Alice and I could use. Thanks so much guys! We were warm & dry which somehow I doubt we would have been in the other one.
We then headed off for a 5 hour hike around the beautiful dales, the highlight being the waterfall at the Valley of Desolation, some ducklings & the Yorkshire Dales ice cream. Jason managed to get a squelchy boot but luckily we had no other incidents!
We then headed back for some food in Addingham and a camp fire with roasted marshmallows in the evening.
The next morning we packed up (I made a mess of that too) & headed for breakfast before setting off home. Thanks to Jason for his tea/coffee set up in the morning.
Thanks so much to Jubz for his organisation skills & his very thorough spreadsheet & for bringing the fire. You did a great job. And to Katie Lees for her map reading on the walk & to everyone else for their help during Tent Gate!!
Welcome back to Eva, it was great to have you along for the weekend :)
Helen was the superhero, cycling to & from the campsite and just casually throwing in an 8 mile run on Sunday morning for good measure! We're all in awe if you!
Thanks all, until next year...

Tonight we met at Heart and split into two teams to deliver the OWLS Hooters. Kat & Helen were one team & Christian and I were the other. We did 6.5K & delivered all the leaflets to their local service users.
Good work all & thanks to Christian for slowing down to my pace!

Last night we headed down to Meanwood Valley Farm for the first time in years. We had two teams at work tonight: Team 1, Lydia, Katie & Kawan clearing the garden & Christian & Lydia wheeling the vegetation to the the compost heap. Then there was Team Number 2, Kat, Katie, Jubz & Jason who were moving compost from one bin to the next. Not a hugely popular job as the compost was full of number twos from the farm animals! A smelly job indeed, but Jubz still managed a smile. Well done guys! At least you got to say hello to a friendly goat :)

That was the question Eb was asking this evening, providing some light entertainment! Tonight we had a new task at All Hallows Church where Rainbow Junction is held. We were tasked with levelling the ground, weeding and painting the gates. This was a big job and we'll have to go back to do more but we made a great start, helping to ensure the garden is safer for people who use it.
Welcome back to Eb tonight and congratulations to Kat for completing her 80th good deed!

Shout out to the team! It was great seeing you guys yesterday. Thank you Laura for the warm welcome back. Canโt wait to be back next month with a new question. See you then.
