Maria has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Maria is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

13 people ran 8k to clean the kitchen, showers, toilets, chairs and doors for SIFA Fireside
On a rather sweaty, but sunny evening we welcomed Lotte, Maria and Steph to the group.
Aaron did his customary front marking duties, while George did the back marker stuff. We all headed to SIFA. By the time we got there we all looked like we had taken a shower, thanks to the humidity!
The task was to clean, clean and clean more! It was the kitchen, showers, toilets, doors, chairs and Sam even cleaned the outside of the fish tank! Hence this weeks pun!
Once done we had a group pic outside in the gorgeous sunshine and then it was interval time! The session was 8 x 45 seconds of hard effort with 75 seconds rest. I even joined in, meaning as we were running out and back on each rep I was attempting to chase down the other runners in a bid to keep them on their collective toes! Lotte was excellent on her first session. Maria and Steph also didn’t disappoint as they pushed hard on each rep. Fiona worked hard, finishing especially strongly and Sam put in some customary hard graft. Rob was just interested in staying ahead of me! Everyone was great though and evidence that they worked hard was when I said ‘ok let’s run back’. They protested asking if they at least could walk to the end of the street before they got their ‘jog on’ for the way back!
The journey back is always a bit on the tough side as unfortunately it’s all up hill! However everyone dug in to get back completing virtual 8k in total, top work team!
Next week we will be out doing good again, it would be great if you could join us sign up here.
