We are always made very welcome at the temple and tonight was no exception. Sanjeev was there to greet us as we arrived and soon put us to work at getting the temple clean and tidy. Mayra and Gill we given the task of vacuuming the stairs and upstairs rooms while got started on scrubbing the floor mats. Yasin and Musa got started in the kitchen and were soon emptying cupboards and getting the insides and contents as clean as a whistle. The others then joined and when it was time to go was all looking in fine fettle. Another GoodGym job well done.

it was an earlyish start at Wardown Park this morning as we'd been asked to help with putting up a marquee at 9am. Unfortunately the person in charge of the marquee didn't arrive until after 10. So Gill, Musa and Fayemi were detailed to get started on 3 small gazebos which were done in record time. Then the fun started with three marquee kits and very poor instruction. It was like a Mensa challenge combined with Task Master and The Crystal Maze. Poles were put out, repositioned, then moved again under the direction of the task owner who had at last appeared to guide us. Our 2 hours elapsed and we had the main framework sorted for their other volunteers to complete thus afternoon. Thanks to the team for helping them get sorted.

The Health Fest brought together loads of organisations with the aim of helping people look after their health. GoodGym was flying the flag, speaking to members of the public, making connections and getting people to play our energetic ring toss game!
It was a long day but we had a lot of helpers along to take turns talking and running the game.
