I have been a keen runner now for about 7 years. I have entered a few runs but have recently found these quite de-motivating, I would like to run with a group of people with a common goal and a more friendly team. I am also a member of a running club which I find much more stimulating because it is more of a team feel. I work as a Personal Assistant in my day job so I think I am very organized, reliable and flexible as well as experienced in working within a continually changing team environment, and making sure the team 'feel' is established. This work has enabled me to become more confident as a leader as I often have to lead global Leadership meetings. I have also recently had a baby, she is almost one year old now. The experience was quite tough and not at all what I was expecting but has taught me to be more open minded and have more empathy with others. I have met a lot of different people during my maternity leave which I have discovered is something I really enjoy. I have always felt it important to give back, I donate to a few charities but I would love to do more to physically help others who are physically and mentally less fortunate than myself.

Well last night we had the pleasure of heading to Woking foodbank at the lighthouse on the high street. Woking foodbank is founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the Woking area. There are three foodbanks in the Woking area, Woking Centre, Sythwood and Sheerwater and we headed off to the Woking Centre to helpout. We had the tasks of tidying and hoovering and cleaning the floor. Everyone got stuck in and helped out and showed great team work.
We hope to be back at the Foodbank in the future and to give them Woking GG full support.
After 30 mins of hard helping work. We headed off to for everyone's favourite a Nick Bootcamp Everyone did amazingly well and put in the effort.
Remember to sign up next week we will be helping out at all saints church with some painting and gardening.

Back to School
We were back at Beaufort Primary School to help give the fences a second life. We have enjoyed helping out at the Primary school in the past as you can really see the difference and enjoy giving something back to the community. We have previously helped out with the front gardens and started painting the fence around the car park. Last night we were back to continue on with our previous task.
It was great to be welcomed by a new member, Natasha. It was lovely to meet you and we look forward to seeing you in the future at more of our group runs.
Lost and Found
We also welcomed back Mark who we had thought we had lost after last Thursdays hill session. Mark decided to go on a little adventure and got a little lost on his own. We are glad to have you back in one piece.
Well Dones
A big well done to Woking GoodGym member Veronica on taking part in The Wey Ahead event of 32Km. Also I took part in the Nuclear Rush event -12km Obstacle race and came 2nd overall female.
Next week
Next week we will be visiting somewhere new. We are off to Woking Food Bank to help out. We hope you can join us to help out such a good cause.
