Adam and Jen walked from The Binoy to meet Sue, Sheila and Sol at the task and were soon reunited with Mandy and Bekah who had walked from home.

After a quick task briefing from Adrienn, Sol and Adam had Art first on their timetable as they got stuck in to painting two cable drums which were being turned into tables. Meanwhile in outdoor play, Jen, Sheila and Bekah set up and lined two new sandpits whilst Sue and Mandy helped with shifting some outdoor furniture around.

Next on the timetable was transferring sand from the horse area into the new sandpits, pushing the wheel barrows was quite deflating, or was that just the tyre?!

Adam and Sol had moved over to paint a new fence panel whilst Jen, Sue, Sheila and Bekah moved a table and chairs from the back to the side of the school.

After Sol squeezed in a quick game of snakes and ladders we collected woodchips from near the forest school to put around the sandpits and wore ourselves out moving tyres into the front garden.

Wow what a task packed evening, with star pupils all round, I can't decide who was top of the class although at least none of us were put into detention.

Thursday 6:15/ 6:30pm is GoodGym Windsor Night! 👑🏃‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

Tonight we were just off the Maidenhead Road in Windsor on a committed mission. The long pathway had got so overgrown that the access to the houses that were occupied by the elderly residents was proving difficult.

Getting there:- Jen and Didem walked from The Binoy. Bekah, Helen and Mandy ran from home. Sue and Adam met us there.

Sue and Adam made an amazing head start 💪🏻👏🏻alongside Helen by the time the other walkers/runners had arrived and Sue had luckily taken some before photos in the light 👏🏻📸 . They had chopped then filled a huge bag full of cuttings. The rest of us needed to catch up so we got our gloves on and chose a tool from Sue’s mobile shed 🤣 we had quite a long stretch to cover so we took an area and cut back what we could. Lots of spikey brambles, stinging nettles etc but we battled well.

We had a chat about our days/weeks while we worked and Bekah multi tasked as she was also the photographer 📸👏🏻

The sunset a dry evening was lovely but darkness was soon upon us and despite our torches we couldn’t continue as it was so dark along the passage and we were running out of bags.

We dragged the bags to the main road for the council to collect.

Fortunately (or unfortunately however you prefer to look at it 🤣) there was time to do a quick workout. Jen had a challenge to do squats today so the traffic passing by got a good view 🤣

Not forgetting the Windsor curtsy and bow before we partly walked together before going our separate ways home.

Thursday 6:15/ 6:30pm is GoodGym Windsor Night! 👑🏃‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

Tonight we are back at Windsor and Eton FC CIC.

Getting there:- Jen, Sara and Adam walked from The Binoy. Mandy and Bekah ran from West Windsor.

Mark the task owner met us with all the cleaning materials and showed us the referees changing room. Our task was to clean it. 🧹🫧🧽 and boy did it need it! 🫣 GG Cleaning Services to the rescue 🤣

Mandy started by sweeping all the cobwebs 🕸️and debris from the ceiling and worked her way down before scrubbing the shower. Bekah got the cleaning playlist on and then attacked the window. Sara took the toilet area (brave lady) , Adam the offside ⚽️ paintwork and tiles and Jen the area behind the door that was mouldy.

By the end it smelled much better and it did look better and ready for some repairs and decorating.

We were a bit cosy in there but it was a great team effort not helped by the rain and muddy prints on Bekah’s clean floor 😬🧹

Just about got a selfie in and we did our curtsy and bow and said our goodbyes.

Thursday 6:15/ 6:30pm is GoodGym Windsor Night! 👑🏃‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️

Tonights community mission we were back at one of our regular task venues Age Concern, The Spencer Denney Centre.

Our task was leafleting to raise awareness of the centre and fundraising so the GG postie trio Caroline , Bekah and Mandy got walking along the Clewer Hill Road, Rycroft, Duncroft and Perrycroft.

The rain showers at first made us sad 🤣 but it speeded us up 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️ and we had to hug ourselves to protect the leaflets from getting wet 💦 and soggy.

But the beautiful sky, sunset 🌅and rainbow 🌈 made us happy 😀 to be out and about.

Lots of chats about our days, family etc as we went along.

We had no leaflets left so we made our way back to the centre, did the Windsor curtsy and bow then made our way home.

Tonights community mission was for a bit different and the weather didn’t disappoint!

We were at The Pirate Park doing litter picking as our primary task but with some GoodGym awareness thrown in giving out leaflets and a social game of rounders and gathering of to celebrate our achievements so far in Windsor.

We would have loved to have had more of you there but we do appreciate everyone’s help since Jan and dedication to Windsor’s good causes to huge 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 to you all!

Thank you also today to Pippa for her very first GoodGym session. 👏🏻👑

AND….. Sheila for her 703rd task ! 🥳🎉🍾👏🏻

We all met at The Pirate Park Caroline, Marilyn, Bekah, Jen, Sara, Mandy, Devon, Sheila and Pippa swept the park with litter pickers on our way to the far side where we were to play rounders.

We handed out some GoodGym Windsor leaflets to some runners and walkers in the park.

We set out the nibbles from The Binoy and got some music on. We decided on our rounders teams (Team Bhajis and Team Samosa) and set up the game. We’ll be honest it wasn’t very organised or indeed very fair 😬 but we all had a go and we all tried our best.

Pippa did a bit more litter picking and Devon and Mandy and Marilyn had a run around the field.

The others started on the Indian nibbles and cakes and eventually we all regrouped for a catch up.
