Dark side of the moon makes me feel eel

On a chilly and pun fun filled night and under an enormous moon that looked as if a Harry Potter dementor was draped across it we convened at Splashpoint Leisure Centre for our regular Monday evening magical mysteries of I wonder what on earth will happen tonight !

With our newly formed whats app group ( all welcome ! Just send your mobile number to Beth or me) the evening started at 18:00 and ended with the cheesiest pun fest at 22:57 . Oh cod !

It was great to meet Jenny who came to get her documents checked as she is keen to be paired together with getting back into her running (hopefully joining us on a Monday soon ! ) Paul also had his documents checked so that he can also start his pairing journey ( rocking in his new GG red t shirt ! )

This evening was all aboat - Quite an oar deal

After some epic light saving faffing around from me and a surprise appearance from Beth for registration we set off on a relaxed and chatty warm up run to and around the pier . This proved to be a bit pacier for Duncan who was ''running a little latte'' It was a nice surprise to bump into Ed and John who were 'lapping up the seafront'' Same time next week ? We finally arrived at the seafront Fisherman's garden just east of Splashpoint to do some much needed tidying up.

GG Worthing is of- fish-ally Keiths favourite day of the week

''Good evening from Manchester Keith'' was the response when our trusty fishermans friend and park ranger enquired where Nick was tonight!

After 30 minutes of trawling through undergrowth , raking , fine pruning(!) and generally seeing what it was all abait we were all ship shape and fishing for compliments before we headed off on our run.

The runaways

After great tempo running from Paul and Duncan we suddenly realised we needed to reel Belinda and Gill in who had attempted a bid for freedom and needed a stern talking to after they turned port instead of starboard . The question is did they do this on porpoise? We attempted a brief number sprint game which turned out feeling a bit orcaward before heading back to base.

Arghhh the puns

There is always the universal challenge of finding a different fish with which to impress you all as if you flounder too long I always find salmon else beats you to it . So heres something a bit different to finish with tonight.
