Mop-portunity knocks!

Merton Report written by Caroline Helder

We can't keep away from the Community Fridge, or at least not while there are lots of jobs to do! The evening's remit, after running to the task, was to sort food according to date and pack it into labelled boxes. Meanwhile, the rest of the team set about cleaning and tidying the church kitchen. We totally nailed both jobs, before making our way to the pub for a well-earned social. As well as relaxing over a beer we surprised Jade by presenting her with her trophy for Goodgym's Sean Coxhead Inspiring Individual Award. Congratulations to Jade and a big welcome to first-timers Carmen and John, as well as Goodgym tourist Louise from Islington. On a sadder note, we said goodbye to Rob but hopefully he will visit us when he's down in London.

Robert has just run their first 10k. 10,000 metres would take you most of the way across London. It's far. Robert now knows a bit of what it might be like to be Mo Farah.

Critical success 👏

Merton Report written by Caroline Helder

Seven of us made our way to an industrial estate in Mitcham on a dark and drizzly night. As ever, it was well worth it to help out the brilliant charity Critical Support. This time some of the team were sorting crates of bread, fruit and other food, while others carried out an amazing transformation to the upstairs room, categorising clothes donations, tidying and even hoovering. James was as appreciative as always and amazed by what we'd achieved in such a short time. We look forward to returning.
