On a chilly December night 7 goodgymmers braved the elements to ascend Dawson's Heights for the penultimate task of the year. Crooked beds fixed. Bulbs planted. Wood chip spread. Before returning to base and seeking warm refuge in the new and improved Nags Head. Good Job Team

It was Wednesday night - which meant group run night! Most of the crew had gathered, ready at Old Spike, but one familiar face (me!) was missing… Took me only a while (and a half) to get to Old Spike to let us all in. After a quick warm up session we set off to Copleston Church and Community Centre, a new task for us. A short run away.
Once there, we got stuck straight into a 45-minute kitchen blitz — scrubbing, wiping, shining, and probably inventing new ways to get into awkward corners. The place was sparkling (almost!) by the end, and the team at Copleston were so thankful for our help. All in all a decent run, chat, clean, and even background music as we did it — classic GoodGym Southwark vibes! Andrada even hit her 50th good deed with this run! Nice one!

On a warm summer evening, we set off from Old Spike and made our way—running the 5.5 km (with a little unplanned detour) to Blackfriars Estate. It was a long group run, but the sense of pride when we arrived made every step worth it.
There, we were warmly welcomed by Corin and got straight to work, shifting heavy bags of soil to clear space for the final stages of their landscaping project. It was serious, sweaty lifting, but as a team we got the job done.
With the task complete, we made the return journey to Old Spike—tired, but with that satisfying feeling of a mission accomplished.
