Another great session helping our friends at Hope Housing.
Daryl, Katie, Eleanor, Sam and Caprice set off on a Group Run to the task. It was great seeing Sam again, it had been a couple of years since his last session.
The group stormed up the dreaded hill towards the lansdowne and after a quick run and a good natter they soon arrived at Hope.
Sue was already there and getting stuck in sorting rucksack donations. The Charity had received boxes of bags from Osprey and the group got to work sorting them alphabetically.
After the bags had been sorted and repacked Mark asked the group to do a 'test run' erecting a gazebo.
Hope Housing are going to be using the gazebo at The New Forest Show selling their Hope Soap. Mark even showed us all the new banners that he had ordered. They look amazing!
We'll be back to help in a few weeks time sorting out one of the storage sheds.
See you there!

What a way to start a Sunday morning!!
13 of us in total got together with Michael and Jono from Grounded Community to help them make some progress in the Secret Garden 2 plot.
In glorious sunshine we split off into different teams. One team headed off and started to flatten a plot and prepare the are for the installation of a polytunnel. Lots of shoveling and removing a top layer to allow for it to be evened out and then the posts to be put into place.
Another team on the other side had to dismantle three raised flower beds to make room for a row of composter bins made up of discarded pallets...
Another team also tidied up a corner of rotting wood and moved it outside the plot to free up some space.
With 2 hours to play with we had lots of time and the chance to really make some serious progress, compared to when we could only stay for 40mins on groups runs!
As you'll see from the amazing photos we had a lot of fun and managed to so a lot of good!! And we still had the whole weekend ahead of too!!
We're out again this week, this time Thursday evening for a litter pick at Meyrick Park!
Come and join us!!

Another beautiful evening for a beachy Chine litter-pick! The fab four Daryl, Hannah, Sam and Caprice met by the sea ready for some serious bin bag action! Heading up the steps of doom onto the cliff tops collecting rubbish treasures on our way. Sam armed with his collapsible litter picker and grasping the hard to reach trash. We were pleasantly surprised at how little rubbish we found, it's clear the lovely Bournemouth council litter pickers have been hard at work! After zig-zagging up and down the Cliff tops we decided to call it a day, next sesh we were thinking Merrick Park. Watch this space...

Great effort everyone! Merrick Park sounds like a good plan too
