it was a sticky hot day but we needed to clear the area for a school project that will document these historic graves and will add to the history of the area. We cut brambles and weeds from quite a large area and were on our way:)

Suzy Song earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Suzy completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Suzy was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Arrival Linda and Julia and John cycled to the session and were the first ones to arrive. Suzy got lost and took a long time to find parking space but thankfully found us - we set Suzy a challenge to walk or run for the next session!:) We are not going to mention how late Raymond was.... ;)
Task Francis met us with all the tools and had a new task for us - to 'find' the paths in the memorial garden that has been left to nature way to long. We weeded and evened out the paths and also weeded the beds. The weather was very summer-like, birds were chirping - including a very loud woodpecker, conversation touched on many different topics and not going to lie some of them were pretty random :)
1st ever Community Session!!! Suzy did her first community session - fantastic!!! Well done Suzy!
100 good deeds This was Ramon's 100th good deed and Julia was hitting 100 later in the day! Great achievement!
Well done everyone - great company for a great task in great weather!

It was great to see everyone together after lockdown and lovely to welcome Keith and Suzy to the group. Well done to those of us who ran the Parkrun route before the picnic and to little Lottie the pup for getting a personal best. š
The weather smiled on us and we managed to enjoy an elaborate picnic with alcohol free Prosecco and caterpillar cake taste-testing before the heavens opened again. Jury is still out on whether Colin or Cecil is best, although James' vegan sausage rolls were a hit and Lottie enjoyed the chicken legs. š¤£
