parkrun cake-over = parkrun take-over + cake... what a winning combo!
Well done to everyone who helped out this morning, both the GoodGymers and the regular Ockwells superheroes. I was Run Director, and as always they made my life very easy. They are always one step ahead and support each other to make everything run smoothly.
We helped 72 juniors run, walk and/or skip round in the mud, and it was great to see lots of their grown ups joining in too. Amongst the 72 were 9 first timers and 9 PBs to celebrate. We also had one very happy parkrunner, who had done his 21st run and is now the proud owner of his half marathon wristband.
We had a GoodGym milestone to celebrate too - Georgeta's 300th good deed! It feels like only yesterday we celebrated her 100th. Many of her good deeds have been social visits, where her care and kindness have made a massive difference to the lives of Mrs D, Ms M, and many other residents. After parkrun today she went and did some path maintenance at Braywick Park and then headed off to a gardening mission for her third good deed of the day. What a star!
Georgeta didn't get a wristband, but we did have cake thanks to Juli and Sheila. Delicious!
Great work team ❤
