Report written by Aimee (she/her)
We were back at the food bank again for another bonus Wednesday mission, helping unpacking boxes and pack delivery driver’s cars.
Me and Flo were mostly on packing boxes of food donated by shops, putting them into crates and then stacking creates of the same food type into towers, to create a well organised stock room. Max was packing bags of food to go out and then taking them to the driver’s cars.
One of the more unusual things we were unpacking among boxes of tea, jars of coffee and tins of chopped tomatoes was many cans of haggis. We can only presume these were left over stock from burns night on Monday evening.
I forgot to take a group picture before Flo had to leave so instead there is a very rushed one of me and Max before I had to also leave to hurry back to work.
As always, a great way to take my break from work with some heavy lifting and helping people.
