Welcome, Welcome, Welcome

Last night we welcomed Jodi to her first Goodgym outing, when asked how she found found out about us she mentioned an advert she came across on instagram and how good the idea was as it mentioned all the things she likes doing. Volunteering, running and keeping fit. Jodi moved from Wales to London to pursue her love/talent for performing arts and have made Croydon her new home. [Do give her some cheer].(/v3/profile/jodi-bird)

6 of us ran in to west Croydon Baptist church, 3 others walked.

Last night’s task had a mixture of sorting clothes and building clothes rails at the Croydon refugee centre. Our regular host Ivanka despite being away I. Hols in Argentina took time out to respond to our message seeking tasks to complete and her trusty sidekick Simon was happy to fill in on her behalf.

We spent the night sorting donations into seasonal category as the need for more winter clothes have risen following the did in temp over the past couple of days.

We’ve been fortunate too as the ground is frozen and it’s cold out so not having an outdoor task to do is a plus for us considering we spent most of last year completing outdoor tasks.

We were also treated to cups of tea, thank you Simon, see you new week, as we were not able to complete the task we’ll be back.

Time ran out on us we bid farewell to Simon and headed back off on our run to solutions while taking extra care not to step on any ice that had been formed on the pavement.
