We were back today with our friends at Brompton Bicycles to take a group of brand new employees for a day if volunteering.

A tight knit group of 9 gathered in reception to make their way over to Horsenden Farm with AA Yianny, meaning a nice cycle down the canal path and thank fully no rain (yet!). Two of the group decided they would prefer to walk and so set off nice and early and in fact arrived before the cyclists.

Once spare bikes were secured we were on our way to meet Anne and Elsa who the two tasks we had to take on: 1) Building a dead hedge with the tree cuttings and material from the hill. 2) Levelling the soil, covering with cardboard and spreading wood chip down by the visitor centre in the tree nursery.

The group split into two and headed off for their respective task. The goats were also set free to have a roam and graze while the team worked!

After a bit more than an hour's work the group managed to get through plenty and the difference can be seen in the photos.

For those who requested more information about GoodGym feel free to get in touch with Yianny by email at yianny@goodgym.org or visit the website.

A big thank you to everyone for the hard work and we wish you all a wonderful end to the year and a great 2024.

We will be back with another task for Brompton in January - see you then.
