On a bright Thursday morning, the 15th of February, 2024, at Vauxhall Gardens Community Centre, an extraordinary coincidence brought together GoodGym's dynamic duo, Sean, embarking on his inaugural GoodGym adventure, and the seasoned volunteer Mikhail. Not only were they united by their commitment to the community, but they also shared a unique bond – both had family homes on the same street in Kuala Lumpur, adding an intriguing layer of serendipity to their meeting. Together, they turned the task of food preparation into an hour of joy and efficiency, slicing bread, portioning margarine, and organizing hamburgers with flair. As they wrapped up, a delivery from the Felix Project turned the scene into a feast of generosity, destined for grateful foodbank clients. Their mission was a lively blend of fun, fellowship, and shared backgrounds, making life better for everyone with a touch of home from Kuala Lumpur.

Vauxhall Foodbank
Our oldest and most popular task!

Vauxhall Foodbank provide short term food support to families and individuals in crisis. We help them out by sorting food collected from local supermarkets into categories and making sure it is correctly weighed. This task is the dream for all lovers of neatness and order. Feel the calm wash over you as all the tins get sorted and put away. The work we do here would take the voluntary staff hours to do by themselves. We get everything bang tidy in 20 mintes.
