Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Huw Davies
Perfect weather greeted us for our return to non-essential outdoor community missions and what a great job we did! We welcomed Amardeep along on his first good deed, we hope you enjoyed it - judging by the fact we had to ask about three times to get you to stop picking litter we think you might have done!
Two groups of us helped make two city vaccination centres look absolutely spick and span, how temporarily they look so good remains to be seen but an amazing job done by all!
Prajapati Hall Site Manager Riyan escorted Jimmy, Martin, Nick (straight from a volunteering stint on the vaccination programme) and Stu to his site to ensure his car park was spotless ready to start vaccinating 1,200 cohort 1 patients with their second doses on Thursday.
Meanwhile Huw, in an unusual role for this week as a task owner, got Sharon, Elena, Dave, Mel and Amardeep to work at the Peepul Centre site.
The Peepul Centre approaches from the main car park are a particularly horrific litter hot-spot and tonight it looks as good as it has done since the vaccination programme started in January.
After some socially distanced pictures using our brand new extra-long litter pickers kindly donated by the Canal & River Trust to keep the required distance apart, we went our separate ways with the welcome news that we can return next week to staining the sleepers along the waterway.
Thanks to you all, a real impact made tonight, well done!
