A small group of runners met at the Tap Tavern to take on a 3km run to our first visit to Cecil Court in Kew. Upon arrival we met with a few more GoodGymers and set about the task at hand. With Adrian's expert guidance we split in to two groups; one tackled moving many many boxes of medical supplies from the outdoor area to the attic. No mean feat! The second group set about tackling the gardening with a variety of jobs from weeding to sweeping and general tidying.

After we had finished for the night we all either ran or cycled the 3km back to the Tap Tavern and then homeward bound.

It was a lovely night and a great cause, so we hope to be invited back again soon!

Central and Cecil
A not-for-profit providing housing and care in outstanding locations across London

After voluntarily spending two weeks living on London’s streets in 1926 to experience the life of London’s most vulnerable people, Elizabeth Chesterton set up Cecil Homes as a means to provide support to London’s homeless women. Central & Cecil (C&C) was formed when Cecil Homes merged with Central London Housing Trust in 1993
