When you need some help putting poppies up on lamp posts along the high street, who you gonna call?

GoodGym of course!

Julie from Discover Welling met us with bags full of poppies and cable ties, and we worked fast to adorn about fifty lamp posts in just under an hour.

GoodGym tasks are always rewarding, but even more so when a passerby stops to say thank you for making a difference.

The final flourish was to add poppies to the cannon (yes, really, a cannon), and Welling was ready for its upcoming Remembrance events.

We'll be back to take the poppies down on our Wednesday evening group runs in a couple of weeks time. Sign up to lend a hand!
