Rain rain go away!

With some very challenging weather 5 of us met up on the windy beach front. Huge thanks to my team

Barbara Daisy Steve Craig

And not forgetting Simba and Hudson - our 4 legged friends who barked and sniffed their way through the task!

We were not sure what to expect today as recently the beach has been relatively clean when we have done tasks there.

However today it felt really worthwhile as there was a lot of rubbish, sea debris, and most importantly fishing lines and thin rope that could easily get caught up with the birds and other sea life.

We headed out west to the Lido then worked our way back along the beach with Daisy and Craig crawling under the pier to reach those 'must get' bits of rubbish. Against a rapidly rising tide washing near our ankles I was getting rather jittery ( with my big health and safety hat on! ) whilst Daisy and Craig were admiring a huge dog fox ambling around right at the back of the pier. As I was holding the blue bag and holding Hudson too I got increasingly more worried as I didn't fancy those 2 meeting face to face.

1 hour later ( and I'm sure the photos speak for themselves ) it was mission accomplished with Worthing central beach being 4 bags lighter than when we started ( plus 5 more good deeds notched up in the January challenge! )

Great work team

Thank you

Julia xx
