Report written by Caroline Thomas
Celine organised a little crew consisting of herself, Michelle, Rachel and I to tidy up the front and side garden of the Israac Centre. We did a quick little pick at the side avoiding the small rat before tackling the gardens in the front that had got a bit overgrown since Regather last attended. There were some pretty tasty raspberries and a lot of stinging nettles that had made themselves at home which we attacked a long with quite a few dead plants and discarded vape pens. The recycling conscious gardeners separated litter from green waste and we bagged up 4 sacks of garden waste which Michelle and Rachel kindly strapped to their bikes and cycled back to stuff Michelle's green waste bin with. Job well done.
We deliver training, Advice and Guidance, Debt Management Advice, Health and Well being programmes which includes Zumba, Circuit classes, Soccercise classes, Chairobics, Sports, Somali Dancing, Autism Support group for parents, childrens holiday programmes for both main stream and SEN Children, FGM and Domestic abuse programme. We also have a small community gym. Deliver training courses from Conversation classes, English classes and other training to meet the needs of the communities who access Israac. Coffee mornings, Sewing classes, Family Hub, and a Warm space centre. Both a male youth club on friday evenings and Girls youth club Sunday evenings. We also have a large hall for community and partner events and weddings
