The Goodgym Cross Country contingent returned to Stanborough Park (Welwyn Garden City) for the 4th fixture of Met League 2024-25. The penultimate match of a smashing series of fun muddy with London affiliated athletics clubs - and open to all members of the Goodgym Race Team!

Our worries about the projected -5 degree temperatures soon disappeared, as we were treated to glorious rays of winter sunshine on Saturday afternoon.

Rosie and Anna chased each other around the full 8km + course (through woods, slopes and muddy twists and turns), putting in really strong runs on tough conditions. Alison brought some hugely appreciated crowd support and cowbells for our crew (Goodgym Race Team may be small, but we definitely cheer the loudest!). Simon, Aidan and Lucian put in some solid pace, while successfully remaining upright through the very slippery mud. We were thrilled to see Goodgym legend Tracey out representing Eton Manor as well!

Next month we will be at Trent Park for the final fixture of 2025. Watch this space!
